For New Clients

What is a referral code?

This is a code you enter during checkout to achieve a discount on Watter CPA services. It also informs us of which client sent you our way.

What are the discounts?

Once you use a referral code, you receive a bonus parallel to the cost of the service:

  • $15 bonus for services between $180 & $299.99
  • $30 bonus for services between $300 & $499.99
  • $40 bonus for services between $500 & $694.99
  • $50 bonus for services of $695 or more

The mentioned program remains available for 6 months after buying our services. We also cap our client list in order to establish high work standards. So, our program works only until we reach the max. capacity.

For Existing Clients

Why should you share your referral code?

Once your circle leverages the referrals at checkout, you earn a bonus too. We simply send this bonus as a refund to the payment method you used last — in line with the engagement size outlined above.

I worked with you a year ago and I don’t have a code.

Referral codes were sent to eligible clients using the billing email linked to prior payments. If you didn’t get one — just let us know and we will fix that.

If you lost your referral code, how do you get it back?

If you think you have a code but can’t locate it, email george@wattercpa.com. Please indicate the email address you used for payment & roughly when you paid. We will present assistance in tracking it down.

Maryland & US referrals — who can use our program

Maryland & US referrals — who can use our programWatter CPA works with Maryland residents as well as out-of-state clients who still require a US filing partner. referrals are generally shared when a taxpayer wants a firm that can cover both federal & Maryland items without bouncing them between providers.

In Maryland, our referral program addresses:

  • Maryland residents with income from another state — remote work, travel assignments or a second home
  • People moving into or out of Maryland who need a clean “last return / first return” handoff
  • Small establishment owners and contractors who need personal returns & entity filings coordinated
  • Families who prefer one place for yearly filing and notices along with year-round questions

How we confirm a referral

Our referrals are tracked through checkout and the billing email, so the referrer does not need to collect documentation from the new client. Upon the payment, the referral is reviewed and the program terms are applied as demonstrated above. If something does not comply, we reach out by email for full resolution.

What happens after checkout

After checkout, clients receive a welcome email with next steps. Basically, our new clients are invited to our secure portal to upload files & sign forms as outlined below:

  • An intake questionnaire to manage the Maryland & federal requirements
  • A document request list custom-tailored to distinct situations
  • A timeline for review & prep and e-file — with status updates along the way

We run our workflows in ProConnect and establish internal checklist processes to lower back-and-forth. On business days, our primary target is to reply within 24 hours.

Fair-use rules and capacity limits

It should be recognized that we limit new engagements during peak periods in order to ensure the same level of output quality. If we are at full capacity, a referral may need to be used later. For the same reason, we also reserve the right to adjust / decline a bonus linked with duplicate accounts & purchases by the same buyer.

Maryland-specific situations where a referral has more importance

Maryland filing details can vary based on where you live and work. Many referrals come from taxpayers dealing with situations like these:

  • Working in one state but living in Maryland & needing credits managed successfully
  • County & local tax considerations in accordance with the withholding
  • Multiple W-2s & side income plus quarterly payments that need to line up across systems
  • New businesses forming in Maryland that need to manage federal & state level filings

Summary

The Watter CPA Referral Program has a cost-lowering impact — and it further allows us to serve great clients like you. Share your referral with your circle so they get a discount & you get a refund.

Review Image

I’ve been working with Ken and his team for the last twenty five years and they always do such a nice job on our return preparation. The whole office is super committed and helpful. In dealing with the staff I’ve always seen such a high level of commitment from each of their personnel. We’ve used them for dozens of client returns and for complex non filers to catch them up on old returns as well.
